Wielding Non-Weapons?
This is another which I am not sure is a problem, but seems wrong to me. Perhaps this is just an oddity of circle/tba, since I know MOBs don't REALLY use their wielded weapons.

All of these seem to represent the loading of an item as WIELDED (16) by a MOB, but are items which can't, themselves, be wielded (8192/n), according to their OBJ entry:

zon/43.zon:23:E 1 4304 2 16 (a black penguin claw)
zon/43.zon:27:E 1 4304 2 16 (a black penguin claw)
zon/83.zon:E 1 8397 5 16 (@yA set of @o@gChinchirorin@n @ydice@n)
zon/175.zon:E 1 17512 100 16 (Ristoril)
zon/175.zon:E 1 17511 100 16 (Tranquil)
zon/175.zon:E 1 17505 50 16 (a lesser Kraken's spike)
zon/233.zon:E 1 23336 99 16 (50' of rope)
zon/257.zon:E 1 25722 100 16 (an aqua potion)
zon/257.zon:E 1 25722 100 16 (an aqua potion)
zon/286.zon:E 1 28612 80 16 (rivet gun)
zon/286.zon:E 1 28612 80 16 (rivet gun)
zon/286.zon:E 1 28612 80 16 (rivet gun)
zon/286.zon:E 1 28614 80 16 (box of matches)
zon/309.zon:E 1 30936 100 16 (a large wooden spoon)

Some of these can be held, so maybe some of those 16s are supposed to be 17s? Others might really be intended as weapons, in which case their object entry is wrong. No real way to know which, really.

Of course, as I said, maybe this is just an oddity of circle/tba which people like just the way it is.

It really is up to the builder, you can wield non-weapons. But some you found
are mistakes from converting older World file formats. Thanks for pointing them out.

a black penguin claw - OK
Chinchirorin dice - changed to HOLD
Ristoril - changed to WEAPON
Tranquil - changed to WEAPON
a lesser Kraken's spike - changed to WEAPON
50' of rope - changed to HELD
an aqua potion - changed to HELD
rivet gun - changed to HELD
box of matches - changed to HELD
a large wooden spoon - changed to HELD

I assume those changes have been made in your local area files?

Will these eventually find themselves on tba's svn?

Thanks.

Yup, the world files are not under SVN control until I copy them over just before release. Same goes for the help files. I make so many changes to both of them that I wait until a release is ready to go and then copy them all over.
