LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles Harbor College’s new Science Complex recently received LEED Platinum certification, the highest level of certification for sustainable design awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). NEWTON, Mass. — Angier Elementary School students began 2016 in a brand new, state-of-the-art facility.
PORTLAND, Maine — In June 2015, Portland School Board member Marnie Morrione said the board needed commit to rebuilding Hall Elementary School. In December, the board did just that by recommending $1.3 million in additional local funding for the state-funded project. The issue will now go to the City Council, after passing a board vote on Dec. 8.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The prestigious Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Providence unveiled an extensive $12.1 million renovation of its Illustration Studies Building (ISB) on Oct. 10.
UNIVERSAL CITY, Texas — Randolph Field Independent School District in Universal City recently began site development work to prepare for the installation of a new two-story, 47,400-square-foot school facility. The school district partnered with design-build construction firm Ramtech Building Systems of Mansfield, Texas to complete the project using the firm’s Accelerated Building System (ABS) prefabricated construction method.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The New Mexico Public School Facilities Authority and Bernalillo Public Schools officially broke ground on the new Santo Domingo Elementary/Middle School on Nov. 12.
NORTH HAVEN, Conn. — After breaking ground in July 2015, construction on the new North Haven Middle School is moving right along.
